Picking:

Simple, yet effective, this exercise may be confusing for the beginner. Playing backwards on guitar can feel odd at first, but it won’t take long for it to become second nature.

Chords and Rhythm:

Remember, if you are just starting out with guitar, take your time and be patient with yourself. Switching chords while trying to strum can be a frustrating exercise. If need be, use only one chord and focus only on the strum pattern until you feel that your strumming hand is solid. Then incorporate switching from one chord to the next as your confidence grows.

Review lessons 1 and 2 if you need a refresher on how to make an E minor or A minor chord.
